Thrones trembled, and royal dynasties frowned with fear,
A new spirit awakened in old India once again.
The value of lost freedom was realized by all,
And hearts resolved to drive away foreign rule.
In the year 1857, an ancient sword flashed anew,
As the storytellers of Bundelkhand sang her tale:
She fought valiantly like a warrior,
The Queen of Jhansi.

Lakshmibai, the beloved daughter of her father,
Grew up brave, intelligent, and fearless.
She studied, played, and trained in warfare,
Spears, shields, and swords were her companions.
The heroic stories of Shivaji inspired her youth,
And courage flowed through her veins.
She fought valiantly like a warrior,
The Queen of Jhansi.

Was she Lakshmi, or was she Durga herself?
She seemed the very embodiment of bravery.
The Marathas rejoiced at her swordsmanship,
Her skill in battle amazed all who saw it.
Military strategy and leadership came naturally to her,
And fear never touched her heart.

When the final battle arrived, she rode into war,
Prepared to sacrifice everything for her motherland.
She lit the flame of freedom with her courage,
And gave her life for the cause of independence.
History remembers her with everlasting honor,
As one of India's greatest heroines.
